It's no Stevie G. in a crash helmet, but the Krewe of Brid (pronounced Breed) will have a Who Dat contingent when it rolls on Friday, February 6 at 6 p.m. down Harrison Avenue from the Orleans Canal to Milne Blvd. and back.Cafe 641's very own The Entity claims responsibility for this year's theme -- Brid's Got Balls! -- and the all-women marching krewe pays tribute to the Saints, Hornets, Zephyrs and their fan-atics. Though she'll be decked out in a baseball uni, The Entity will be well supported underneath. She also promises ball-themed Brid flyswatters and Cafe 641-endorsed eye black.
Though not confirmed, 2-3 Saints players are supposed to appear as well.
And these three guys will march. Look for more spoons than you can wave a spoon at . . . peel & stick mustaches . . . and for good measure, a commemorative Brids-Got-Balls-centric Cafe 641 Carnival menu.
